Ilya Khala also said that many foreign companies have begun to transfer their capacities to Russia.

"Representatives of Tourmaline Labs, having learned that the new law would soon come into force, turned to us for help. We advised them to keep servers in Russia on which Russian users would work, which they did," the businessman noted.

“Together with the Ministry of Communications, we must prepare the industry and help companies that will transfer personal data about Russian citizens to Russian servers to do this in an organized manner and, if possible, with minimal costs,” said Internet Ombudsman Dmitry Marinichev at a meeting in March.
