“Sharing knowledge is creating knowledge,” a statement by Jeroen Zweers of Dirkzwager, one of the speakers at The Social Conference . During this annual conference, speakers will speak who are all involved with social media. Why does a statement like this stick with you? Because it hits the core and turned out to be the common thread for the conference, where many of the presentations were about internal social media. A report of the day, plus the most important tips.

My ability to attend the conference was a result of the power of Twitter. My card was granted to me, without the giver knowing who I was. Granting each other something is one of the building blocks of this social network and social media in general.

How different is the formal path that was initiated from corporate communication at SNS Reaal. And although there too the same goal is the starting point, namely connected employees, that has to be done on a new platform, because Yammer is not allowed for security reasons. And that is difficult if there is not enough budget to do that.
