Creators, viewers and artists will be able to request the removal of a video
In the coming months, YouTube will be rolling out a new privacy complaint process, through which viewers, creators and artists can request the removal of AI-generated content or synthetic or manipulated content that includes a real person’s face and voice without their consent.
In assessing requests, YouTube will take into account several factors , including, for example, whether the content is a parody or satire, whether the person submitting the request can be uniquely identified, or whether the content features a politician or senior official, or a famous person, in which case more leniency may be allowed . Following the review, YouTube will decide whether or not to remove the reported content.
In addition to this, musicians will be able to request that AI-generated musical content that recreates their voice or way of singing be removed. In this case, several factors will also be taken into account, such as " whether the content has received media coverage, analysis or criticism for the use of synthetic voices . "
