GGoogle I/O, Google's annual developer conference , has brought many (many!) new features for users of Gemini, Android, GMail ... But among them are those that will open a new era in the way of using its omnipresent search engine, 25 years after its launch in September 1998.
AI Overviews: AI-generated summaries to answer your queries
Google has long since embarked on the path of personalizing search results, to adapt its responses to variables such as the user's location, for example. Now, with its "AI Overviews" , as they have been baptized by the company, the search engine enters fully into the field of generative AI, with quick responses created with artificial intelligence.
As you can see in the video, users will have the bahamas number data ability to choose the length and depth of these responses.

As the company has explained, the idea is that these quick summaries serve to change the search paradigm: something like Google being the one that searches Google for you , making connections between concepts and related search terms that give rise to an answer that satisfies the user's intention when using it.
“Sometimes you need a quick answer, and you don’t have time to go around collecting information here and there. Search will do it for you with AI-generated summaries. We’ve found that with AI-generated summaries, users use Search more and are more satisfied with the results,” they explain.
