How the search engine takes into account the user's region

Post by rakhirhif8963 »

Search engines first filter out identical media content for media queries, such as identical widely-distributed photographs. Then they evaluate the narrowed selection based on the criteria listed above - links to the page, page title, text next to the photograph, and so on.

Even if you sell "non-picture" products, such as excavators, crushed stone, precast concrete slabs, legal services, tutoring services, or wholesale fish, I still recommend SEO-optimizing images and embedded videos within the landing page. This will, at a minimum, increase the overall relevance of the landing page to common non-media queries.

What is a "Geo(in)dependent query"
A geo-dependent query is a query entered by users with the following intent: "I want to find a site from my region." Accordingly, geo-INDEPENDENT - the geolocation of content, the regional binding of the site , on the found page does not matter.

The word "region" should be understood as a specific city. That is, not a macroregion (Central, North-West), not a region (Sverdlovsk Region, Moscow and Moscow Region), not a municipality (Municipal Formation of the City of Yekaterinburg), but a specific settlement where the user is currently located and enters a search query. For search engines Yandex or Google, a person is in a specific settlement - Revda, Achit, Samarkand, Moscow, Zelenograd, Yekaterinburg, Svetlorechensk, Irbit, Rezh, Novosibirsk, Tashkent.

In the spring of 2009, Yandex search results changed so job seekers phone number data that even experienced search engine optimizers went gray. Traffic to commercial sites in the visibility zone fell dramatically. For example, for the query "Toyota", our client's site toyota-vostok.ru was in 2nd place in all of Russia. This query brought in about 1,200 clicks per day. After adding the user's region to the ranking formula, the site disappeared from search results in other cities, but remained in Yekaterinburg. Out of 1,200 clicks per day for the query "Toyota", the company began to receive only 60. Interestingly, in terms of the number of conversions, nothing changed.
