YoInstagram continues to focus on improving its platform, generating new tools for sales within the network, as we explained in the case of sales on Reels . However, starting in the last week of January, they have also begun to carry out tests on the publications shared in their stories, as social media expert Matt Navarra has published on his Twitter account.
In recent months, many users have shown their discontent with the flood of stories that do not contain new content but simply promote posts already published on the social network. In other words, the posts that we have seen scrolling down our feed are duplicated in the stories, which can be annoying. As a result, the Instagram team started these tests, in which when trying to share a post in this way, a notification will indicate that it is not possible.

Instagram has been trying to get its users to focus on the different publishing channels offered by the social network, in order to improve contact with followers. And also to generate a higher level of interaction with its content, something that also concerns it regarding its Reels platform. This is because it is mostly used to duplicate TikTok app posts instead of creating its own content.
