This way, of course, you can pay off your debt sooner

Post by mstakh.i.mo.mi »

Luckily, my wife is someone who likes to make a budget. So I let her do it and I just have to follow the budget that has been set. I just have to focus on generating as much income as possible without having to worry about thinking about things that I am not really interested in doing.

The purpose of making a budget is to make us more disciplined in our spending. Whatever is not in the budget, there is no need to buy it . It is not an easy or fun thing, when we have to resist the urge to buy.

But all this is only temporary. At least until the debt is settled. Later, when I don't have to pay the debt anymore, I can use the money I have to buy anything I like.

Let's say that in a day you set a budget for food for the whole family of RM50. On one day, you fasted and on that day, you only spent RM25 on food. So on that day, you have RM25 left.

Let's say you make this a routine. You fast on Mondays and Thursdays. In a month you fast for 8 days. Assuming that each time you fast, you only spend RM25, then you will have a surplus of

RM25 x 8 fasting days in a month = RM200

RM200 is an excess of the budget money allocated for food alone.

If you can save a little money from your other spending budget, for example from your budget for petrol, entertainment, transportation to and from work, etc., the amount you save can also be used as additional funds to pay off debts.

If the minimum amount that needs to be paid is RM210, you add in the extra food money of RM200 because you are fasting and also from the extra money from other budgets, you may be able to get up to RM500.

You should only have to pay RM210 each month, but because you made chinese overseas america phone number data a budget and were able to save some of your expenses, you can pay RM500 each month.

Increase your income by doing side jobs

The strategy of withdrawing a little money from the set budget may not be very suitable if you want to do it every month. Humans are naturally prone to getting bored easily. As long as you can still stick with your existing plan, try to stick with it.

But if we get tired of that routine, maybe in a month or two, we won't need to force ourselves to save so much. Instead, we can earn extra money by doing side jobs.
